Continuing change

In my attempts to get back into circulation, I have been pleased to find out about a number of ideas to follow up.

My recently acquired electronic organ, a very sophisticated instrument, is a challenge since I have had lessons only on the piano, my other keyboard skills have been trial and error, with only a little professional advice.

However, with reference to the owners manual, I am beginning to get some good sounds, and my sight reading of simple melodies and accompaniments are noticeably improving.

I am looking at some ballroom dancing classes - I danced a lot as a young man and also was involved in folk and barn dances - I am not sure whether my advancing years will restrict any development here but it is a physical exercise that I enjoy.

I am also looking out for folk clubs and poetry readings - activities that I relished in the past, but again performance skills will not be as they were.

Further news to come

Approaching Imbolc

Following a traumatic Christmas and New Year, my Druid pathway now leads to Imbolc, the time of new life and beginnings.

I am not sure yet what the future holds, I only know that I have to consider changes to the way I organise my days.

I am thinking of returning to some old activities, not with the idea of meeting new people - I have many friends - but mainly to introduce forms of exercise for the mind, body and spirit so as not to fall into a vegetative state fromwhich it will be harder and harder to escape.

The danger will be to go too far in the other direction and spread myself too thinly.

Anyway - we shall see!

Introduction

I have never tried 'Blogging' before so the initial attempts will be haphazard and weak, but I hope they will improve with time.

I am currently re-organising my lifestyle, with the hope of including an activity to improve the exercise factor that is not present in my programme.

This is very short, but it is only intended to start this blog off, to se how it looks on the screen.

See you soon.
